The City of Walnut Creek’s Clean Water Program and The Gardens at Heather Farm are sponsoring a series of free evening talks focusing on environmental issues over the next several months. On Wed., Feb. 19 from 7 – 8:30 pm the featured speaker will be John Muir Laws, who will demonstrate simple and fun techniques you can incorporate into your own recreational nature study. Laws is a naturalist, educator and artist who has written and illustrated several acclaimed books including: Sierra Birds: A Hiker’s Guide and The Laws Guide to the Sierra Nevada.
